When the clock struck 11.59pm.. I received my first birthday wish!

Haha.. yeaps YY.. you were the first, a little early but nevertheless, still the first

From then on.. my handphone has been beeping non-stop. I have not received this many sms-es and calls in a while.

I feel loved.

• Mem, Haet and Jantje for the call ,the card and the gift! Yay! I can go shopping!
• the Klinjstra family for the clock. Hopefully I won’t be late now that I have a huge clock to remind me of the time! haha! Hmm!
• Mom and Dad for the vouchers. Yay! Shopping! Again!
• My dear Appie for the flowers and sunglasses! And the breakfast! Yummy! Love you!
• Ais for the call.. and baby Jamie for “singing” the birthday song! Adorable!

• My dear friends at work.. YY and Yiwen! The rest must have forgotten LOL! But it’s ok.. they already bought me a durian cake and wished me a Happy Birthday in advance.. so I’ll forgive them!

• My wonderful ex-Sec 5s. Gosh.. You make me feel very loved.
• My other students.. I feel blessed.
• Nad.. it feels good that we got a chance to talk again.

Thankfully.. I get to share this special day with my dear sister and of course Sophia Happy Birthday babes!

How many people can say that they’ve had a birthday cake made of durian? Haha! Well well.. my cake buddies decided to buy a durian cake for me.. ermm actually.. I know they WANTED to eat durian cake.. my birthday was a mere excuse to eat it. Haha! That’s why I love them! We have cake on birthdays and on days that someone simply feels like eating cake! How wonderful is that!

There were supposed to be 4 groups.
Only 3 groups came. About 25 of them I guess.
I don’t mind the cooking and entertaining..
ermm well actually mommy cooked.. so did Appie! haha!
Ooops.. but the cleaning.. oh my.. is tiring!

My ex-Sec 5s came. Some were missing. Ridzwan found a goggle and was wearing it! Haha! They ate. Teased Rashidi. They laughed at silly jokes. Played x-box games. Teased Rashidi. Sat on the massage chair. Teased Rashidi. Then they left.

Five minutes later, they came back because they wanted to take a photo with me. And they left Rashidi waiting for them downstairs. They laughed first before calling him. Haha! And he quickly came upstairs! And they posed.. especially Rashidi of course! Haha!

After two unsuccessful tries, he decided to try again. And he got it.

He is officially a Singapore PR

Congrats love! Hopefully, you don’t have to go for NS. And now, because of you, our kids will have to go through NS. Tsk tsk tsk!

Yeaps.. school hols have started.. but only for the kids.. teachers still have to go to school each day. I usually like this time of the year.. no kids around And also because everything is just more relaxing, less stressful and simply just more enjoyable. While some of our colleagues are out for invigilation, the rest of us just need to finish doing some administrative tasks, write our SEM reports and of course the obligatory spring cleaning of our desks and cupboards!

This year, there seem to be loads of things to do.. I am feeling so exhausted. It’s not that I mind doing them.. it’s just a LOT of things to do within a short period of time. And there are still a lot more I have to do.

And plus, its Hari Raya.. we didn’t really go to that many places this year. However, kids have flocked to my place. They must always remember to tell me early. Two hours before is NOT EARLY. I don’t mind you coming over.. but I’d like to know it at least a day in advance so that I can prepare for it.

The graduating 4Es and 5Ns will be sitting for their O levels in the weeks ahead. Some have been coming to school to revise and hijacking one teacher at a time to clear their doubts on various topics. Its good to see them working hard and realising how important this is. Good luck kids

Oh yes, good luck to the ex-students who are retaking some of the subjects! Don’t give up ok!!
