It’s been a while since I updated.. yes yes I know.
Anyways, I started the new year with an excruciating extraction of my wisdom tooth! Yups.. painful! There were no other dentists around since it was the first day of the new year.. so I had to settle for this nagging old dentist. He was not really comforting throughout the entire procedure. All I could do was to close my eyes and pray hard that he gets it over and done quickly. After that, I had the entire first week off.. resting at home, drinking all my foods and quite simply in much agony cause I didn’t get to eat any chicken or mentos for the entire week.
But apart from that, I could wake up late and simply took my time to get stuff done. I basically had an extra week of holiday 
School has started of course. I like my classes. I find this year very refreshing because it’s my first time taking the Sec 1s and the pure chem class. It does takes away the monotony of teaching the same content over and over again. And of course, I am happy my Sec 5s are back! Familiar faces who now have to meet our higher expectations.
We also have the new 10-day timetable cycle. It takes quite some getting use to for sure. On odd weeks, I have an average of 3 classes each day. Running from one lesson to another is tiring but manageable. On even weeks, I have an average of 4 classes each day. I am so busy rushing from one lesson to the next that when I get to the staff room to get some work done, it’s already about 3.30pm. By that time, I still have to mark their work, set tests papers, eat my lunch, prepare worksheets and of course attend meetings. And all these gotta be done before 7pm, otherwise I still gotta do all that at home. And the whole cycle repeats each day. So, when the weekend arrives.. I try and get some extra sleep to recuperate from the exhausting week.
Yups, such is the life of a teacher. Sad eh?
But, I still love my job I wouldn’t trade it for some 9am to 5pm routine job. No way!
Apart from work, I now had a new addiction.. hmm.. ok not as addicted YET.. but getting there for sure! Its WOW-ing! Thanks to Wid of course! haha! Appie is way addicted, more than he wants to admit. haha! He’s like Level 14 and I’m just a mere Level 7. To my defense, I’ve only played the game 4 times! So.. I am quite happy with my level 7
